covert Ground Sensor surveillance System

RDC C-­IDS is a covert passive ground sensor surveillance system that provides continuous monitoring of remote areas or assets (eg. borders, oil pipelines). Its unique form factor, ease of deployment, highly accurate detection and classification of targets, self-healing low-power mesh networked communications and exceptional power efficiency make the RDC ideal for use in remote locations – as well as minimising security manpower.

Features:
  • Unique form factor allowing rapid deployment in under one minute and ease of camouflage
  • Small and lightweight system consisting of sensor and master nodes, so it can easily be carried by one person
  • Low power mesh networked communications - both self-healing and self-forming - the sensor nodes automatically identify the most powerful communications path to the gateway which ensures reliable communications
  • Exceptionally long battery life as the sensor nodes can be deployed for up to 1 year on a single battery. This feature alongside the units physical and electronic robustness ensures that ongoing maintenance is very minimal
  • Low cost for ownership compared with the conventional military style UGS systems as RDC C-IDS uses a unique seismic sensor technology to make UGS more affordable
  • Minimal training requirements - RDC is a 'plug and play' UGS system so no specialist training is required
  • Sensor nodes are able to trigger local PTZ cameras, providing target confirmation, identification and tracking which allows video streaming of the target
  • Advanced detection algorithms in the sensor modes minimises false alarms and further false alarm filtering is performed at the master node by analysing responses from groups of sensors
